Country music stars Steve Holy, Rachele Lynae, Buck Ford and Joe Bachman are coming to Woodland. On Friday, May 30, Country 4 Coaches is back at the Yolo County Fairgrounds, raising money for sports programs at local middle and high schools.
Presented by the Woodland Schools Foundation and 101.9 The Wolf, Country 4 Coaches has quickly become a popular event for local country music lovers. All of the performers will be familiar to 101.9 The Wolf listeners. After the success of the last two years' concerts, event organizers strongly recommend purchasing tickets early. Tickets may sell out.
Tickets are $20 before May 30 and $35 on the day of the event. Gates open at 5 p.m. Tickets are available in Woodland at the Yolo County Fair Office at 1125 East St. or at Hoblit Car Dealership at 333 Main St. Or you can purchase online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/658813.
Event sponsors get to meet the performers for a VIP photo opportunity. To become a sponsor, please contact Tania Garcia-Cadena at 661-0763 or taniagc@sbcglobal.net.
This year's event will also feature a Fun Zone, with activities for kids. The whole family will enjoy spending an evening together, listening to great country music.
Country 4 Coaches raises funds for seventh- through 12th-grade athletic coaching stipends in the Woodland Joint Unified School District. Budget cuts forced local public schools to turn to private fundraising to support their sports programs. The last two concerts raised $60,000 for the schools.
Appropriately, this year's concert will also raise funds for kids to learn music. Woodland Music Boosters will sell food at the event to support school music programs.
